Current technology that will shape our future

There are currently technology companies dedicated to developing new products and investigating how technology simplifies our daily tasks, will make us smarter, and how it will adapt to our daily lives.
It is believed that in the next 20 years the technology will reach levels of personalization that will improve every moment of our lives.
We will be more comfortable with the furniture where we sit and the products we hold. Only the most personalized and relevant information from our friends and family will reach us, and our movement in the digital world will be almost telepathic.
To contribute to this vision of the future, it is believed that several of today’s technologies will be indispensable. Many of them will evolve to integrate with each other and be more powerful.
Current Smartphones are a computer, more than a communication device. In addition to having a multi-touch interface and fast CPU, they contain sensors such as cameras, gyros, accelerometers, GPS and compasses. They help us to calculate and communicate anytime, anywhere. In the future they will evolve into mobile personal computers (PCMs). It will increase the number, precision and performance of the sensors, and the combination of these sensors will give people a powerful sense of the environment. Your PCM will move to your wrist and take the place of the wristwatch.
The display of the device does not need to be its main user interface, so that the PCM can be small and various fashion models like the current watches. This is current technology that will shape our future.
3G and 4G wireless bandwidth
We are constantly checking the power of the signal when we surf the Internet wirelessly by checking the email. Existing 3G and 4G networks provide acceptable intermittent connection speeds. This should change, wireless service providers will give monthly credit to households for wireless devices at home, and remote neighborhoods and villages will enjoy solid wireless access to the cloud. So in the future PCMs will not have wifi signal indicators, wireless access to the cloud will be penetrating and ultra-fast at all times.
Cloud Computing
There is a lot of hype about cloud computing, but some technology vendors have done a good job explaining or providing services that are relevant to the average person.
The two most notable exceptions are Google and Apple. Google Docs possibly the first cloud-based application that gained momentum. Apple’s iCloud seems to have the potential to cross the chasm and move majorities into the cloud.
With tomorrow’s cloud computing, all of our personal information and applications will be available to us at any time. Whether you are editing a text document while traveling on a train, or adjusting a sales proposal in a customer’s office, you will never run out of the information needed to complete a task.
Eye Tracking / Voice Commands
Eye-tracking technology from companies like Tobii is heavily used in usability research, detecting where people look on a web page and how they move their eyes around the page. Voice recognition products such as Nuance Dragon are used extensively when transcribing voice into text.
In the future these technologies will be combined with augmented reality to create a near invisible and natural user interface for your PCM. This interface will be lenses that will transmit to your PCM the objects you are seeing and the words you say, which will interpret your intention, find and process and then send the results back to you visually or verbally. It is the current technology that will shape our future.
